READInitially the lessons present a conversation, narrative, letter, or essay for you to read. These passages are graded in order of difficulty from elementary to advanced. You will find the index to the lessons here. |
UNDERSTANDThe vocabulary, idioms and grammatical elements are explained in a separate frame at the bottom of your screen. You need only click on the difficult words and the explanation will appear. The basic lessons present the grammar in graded sequence. In addition the points of grammar are cross-referenced for ease of revision. This is a typical page of grammar. |
WRITEClick on exercises and you will be challenged to answer questions based on the text. Finally you will be asked to submit a translation exercise and a composition of your own for correction. This is a page of exercises from the basic level. |
ENROLWhen you enrol we will accept your written compositions sent by e-mail or by ordinary post and return them together with corrections, comments and evaluation. In addition we will reply to your requests for information or advice. When you receive our corrected version (within a day or two at most), it should be easy for you to identify points of grammar and structure where you can improve with practice. Click on How to enrol |
