Cottage by the River

Caher Valley, Fanore Co. Clare

Nestled in the famous Caher Valley  in North Clare alongside the Caher River (the only overground river in the Burren) this Cottage is an ideal location for all types of holiday. Whether it is walking, climbing, water sports,  painting, botany, a base for exploring the beauty of the Burn and North Clare or a tranquil get-a-way for you and your family, Caher Cottage has it all. Built to exacting standards in 2003 at the base of a limestone mountain, you’ll find Caher Cottage both cosy and convenient. It’s located in the Burren, just half a mile up the road from Fanore Church and 100 yards in off the road. Two miles away is Fanore beach (with its glorious views of Galway Bay, the Aran Islands and Connemara) and another mile along is Fanore village with it's shop/post office,  restaurant, coffee shop and the always welcoming O Donohues Pub.

The cottage make an excellent touring base for two of Ireland's most fascinating counties - Clare with the majestic Cliffs of Moher, the unique and mysterious Burren, Ailwee Caves, and Galway with the rugged grandeur of Connemara and its spectacular scenic drives.
