Soundscapes from Planet Concrete is a musically improvised performance based on urban sounds and resonance. By playing sampled sounds from different urban contexts, designing rhythms from them, the artist gradually blends in live instrumental sounds in order to create an improvised soundscape.

The resulting loop then evolves gradually and morphs into several tracks, like in a concrete labyrinth in which physical bouncing against the walls is symbolised by echoes.
The performance also features several 8mm film loops of urban landscapes set up in the room, thus conveying a feeling of wandering.

The idea is an attempt to portray the construction and deconstruction of a cityscape and its boundaries, and question the development of contemporary urban models.

More info about the soundscapes and the urban reconquista will soon be available on this website.
