The Dublin Spire

Standing at 120 metres, or 390 feet, the Dublin Spire, officially known as the Monument of Light, is the highest free-standing monument in the world. Coming in 8 sections they were put into position between late December and late January. Sections 4 and 5 were erected overnight on January 20th/21st. The final 3 sections, which were already bolted together as one piece was set in place at about 12:18pm on Tuesday January 21st 2003.
