Her cries and wails are known to be heard usually in the countryside although there are many hearings of her in a town.When she cries it is a warning of impending death. She is supposed to mourn for well-known people but of course she mourns for other people too. Lots of people say that she cries for Mc’s for example McSharrys and McGowans. It is said that she wears a green and white dress and has red hair.
In earliest times, she was a fairy who protected the ruling family of a district. Later her cries merely told of a coming death. She never mourns for obscure people. The Banshee is usually only heard in Ireland.
I myself have never heard the Banshee but my Parents told me that my late grand father on my father’s side heard the Banshee and, strange enough, his good neighbour died not long afterwards.

my opinion, strange and spooky as it may seem, I believe in the Banshee.
