Butterflies
I found the names of some plants that are good
for butterflies.
A. Nectar – rich plants.
Aubrieta, bird’s-foot trefoil, brambles, buddleia, clover, crab
apple, forget-me-not, honeysuckle, lavender, marigold, Michaelmas daisy,
primrose, privet, ragwort, rosemary, sweet william and thistle.
B. Caterpillar food plants (host plants)
Bird’s-foot trefoil, burdock, cabbage, charlock, clover, dog violet,
holly, ivy, lady’s smock mignonette, nasturtium, stinging nettle, thistles
and various grasses.
We have many of these in our school garden.

violet, Holly ivy, Lady’s smock, Nasturtirtium,
Stinging nettles, Thistle, Various grasses.
