CARNAUN NATIONAL SCHOOL 1. A list of all the items we wanted to include! 2. We looked for expert advice and help - Lisa who is ateacher and artist. 3. We made it clear to her that we wanted to paint it ourselves under her supervision. 4. Preliminary sketch on paper. 5. Preparation of the shellter - Undercoat of white masonary paint. 6. Drew the outline on the walls 7. Got the paint 8. Got going - mixed the paint and started to fill in all the areas - easy 9. But then the detail! Lisa showed us how to paint in Sheep, Children, Cows, Castles, Hills, famine Ridges, Castles, houses, Wildlife Pond, Trees, Flowers, Birds and Bees - Sky and Sun and everything! 10. It took us two weeks to paint the mural and in between we planted our Vegetable Garden and prepared a huge mound for our pumpkins and also did a study of the Wildlife Pond and prepared a serries of lessons for a fourth class. We kept the paint brushes and computers going all day every day and took turns at everything! 11. Tommorow we hope to put a coat of varnish over the mural to protect it from the weather! We are ppppproud of our work! 12. We will have an official opening and a party! Email us if you would like to join us in our celebrations!!!!
