Carnaun School honoured by IOFGA At their recent Annual General Meeting and Seminar on Organics Members of the Irish Farmers and Growers Association presented Carnaun National School with an award for "Excellence in Education in Organic Gardening".
IOFGA is the registering body for the Organic Symbol and Carnaun School is very proud to recieve such aclaim from the professionals.
Our teacher Finbarr was in Stralsund, Germany watching the migration of Swans and Geese on their way to Ireland (he was at a European Comenius Partner's Project Meeting for our latest project "Growing up in a New Europe") and was unable to accept the award on the day but our friend Cáit Curran, Organic producer and Journalist and also a member of our Board of Management accepted the award on our behalf and presented it to the school later.

Aaron, with the latest edition of Organic Matters in which we publish our "Carnaun School Organic Diary", Gemma, with a lovely present - "Avoca Cafe Cookbook" signed and presented to us by the Author, and Mica,with the Certificate of Excellence presented to us by the Board of IOFGA.
