 CARNAUN
NATIONAL SCHOOL
I am an Irish Child. I am 12 years old. I live in the countryside. My house
is a bungalow. It is white and has pillars at the front. It is two Kms
from the nearest town called Athenry.
I have short red hair and blue eyes. I have two brothers Terry and Chris. Chris is 17 and Terry is 16. They both have black hair. I go to school from Monday to Friday. Shool starts at ¼ past nine and ends at 3 o clock. We do sudjects like Maths Irish Art English History Geography Religion music and Science. My favourite sudject is Art because it lets me be Creative. My Dad drives me to school in the morning. Mrs. Coffey brings me back home. We have about 50 pupils becuse the school is in the country-side. We havent as many pupils as a town school. My school is called Carnaun National School. During playtime we play games like soccer hurling basket ball 40 40 and tip around the tank. On Tuesdays we have rubgy trainning. Also on Fridays we have Hurling at the school. Friday is the best day of the week because it is the end of the week of the school week. When I get home I have a snack. I usually have sandwiches and soup.Then I do my homework. I have to do small house work jobs around the house because my Dad and mother work at the Department of Defence in Galway. My mother goes to work every second week and my father works full time. They starts at ten o clock in the morning and finish at six. I sometimes clean the dishes or set the table for dinner. We have potatoes vegetables and meat such as duck, chicken, ham or bacon. Bacon and Cabbage are traditional in Ireland. I have along sleep in on Saturday morning. I get up around one o clock. We go shoping in a called Galway in a place called Terryland shopping centre. Sometimes I buy some games magazines. On our way home I go to an internet cafe called “Wired Entertainment”. A man named Mark runs “Wired”. Jack (Marks father) and Sean also works in there. It has ten computers and the main one that only Mark can access. “Wired”has its own wed-page. Everyone has an alias and a password. You can play LAN games or internet games. LAN mean local Area network. For every 3 hours you buy you get a point 15 points will get you drinks and Chocolate. My alicis is “Snake”. We get home around seven. We go to bed around ten o clock on Saturdays. Sunday is a holy day and a Family day also. When all my family go to Mass in the church in Athenry. Most people have the day off on Sunday. I enjoy living in Ireland and am very happy.
