CARNAUN NATIONAL SCHOOL     The Green Fields around us           In school we look out the classroom windows and we see the lovely green fields surrounded by stone walls. These are 'The Fields of Athenry'. Cattle, sheep and horses graze peacefully here. The limestone basis of the soil helps the animals to grow up healthy and strong with plenty of calcium in their bones.
