I am a big fan of Kaffe Fassett and I also love to knit large pictures.
Mona Lisa - knit for my husband (and he does wear it). From 'Knitting Masterpieces,' by Ruth Herring and Karen Manners. I bought this book at least 10 years ago and I don't think it is still available. ISBN:1-85145-071-9 if you want to try.
Michelangelo's Head of David, from the same book.
Roy Leichtenstein's Whaam (back view) and front view, unsurprisingly also from the same book.
The Cherubs, also from the same book.
Noddy, Big Ears and the policeman : I got the images from a pair of curtains that were in my room when I was a bit younger. The wool is the double knitting from Kilcarra.
The elephants (front and back) sweater from a Rowan knitting magazine. It used up the rest of the cotton left over from Houses and Roses. It is a child's sweater, currently being worn by my toddler.
My Kaffe Fassett collection:
Red Cones Waistcoat from Kaffe's Classics. This version is in cotton, mostly Cotton Glace, but with a little bit of the very chunky double knit cotton as well
Red Diamonds sweater, possibly from Family Album? The blue cotton, man's version is in Kaffe's Classics. This is knit in Rowan's Designer Double Knitting, with some Silkstones and a speckled yarn whose name I have forgotten. I bought the yarn for this at least 10 years ago.
Houses and Roses from an early (pre 1990? - I have the magazine, but not the front cover) Rowan Knitting Magazine. I haven't seen this design in any of the books. This is knit in cotton, mostly Cotton Glace, but also some Nice Cotton.
I'm currently stalled on the Stone Patch jacket from Glorious Knitting - if I get going again it should only be another few months to get it finished.
