1.

The curious look
of a fawn in a meadow
seeing for the first time

Christ in a meadow
among a host of wild flowers
contemplating God

Moved by compassion
for a lost multitude   He teaches
the wisdom of God

High on a hill-side
a crowd around him   Christ speaks
"Blessed are you poor"

in the eyes of Christ   hearing
