A pair of mallard
zooming in among the trees
land on the Spring lake

Beyond the white clock
the mountain sides are turning
a light shade of green

In a garden there
an old cherry-tree blossoms
as if for the first time

Leaning towards the road
daffodils from a window-box
wet with last nights rain

Posted in Provence
a card bearing lavender
the scent of Summer

The cone of a shell
before a field of lavender
sometimes sea-coloured

7.

Aware of the past
the university city
where you walk alone

Another language
which you learned in the past now
comes alive again

Opening the lattice
in the morning   oranges
on the trees outside

Home is in Heaven
imagine   the carpenter
living here on earth

His death on the cross
the point beyond harm  a place
where love is at home

Final surrender
into the unseen arms   of God
beyond material
