Procedure

Divide the the two thousand years into units of a hundred years.
Assign students a key happening in each of those units to research.
Students illustrate the unit they have researched in a way which graphically demonstates the significance of the historical events.
Students could also prepare a dramatisation or tableau on the key events in the century they are researching.
