Instructions:- Place your mouse over the rollover image and the image will change from showing the Keyboard connector to displaying the PS/2 pin (6 pin) connector. Also, by holding the mouse over the image an associated image label can be seen. |
Keyboard ConnectorAnalgous to serial and parallel connectors, this may be located at the rear of the motherboard, or alternatively at the rear of the system unit and connected by cable to the motherboard. The same will apply for a PS/2 mouse connector. Keyboard connectors are in the form of a DIN connector. There are 2 sizes used for computer keyboard DIN connectors. Most PC's use the 5 pin connector. However, some PC's are manufactured with the smaller PS/2 style 6 pin connector. |
