Ive suffered from control reversals, wierd "spikes"...I think its time for me to actually move some of those sliders that are supposed to help with Joystick "damping."

Anyone have any tips? Suggestions? Ive never touched them. Thanks!

Here's my alibi first...I'm a Mac guy at heart, and have been using CH stuff on my PC only since March....So....

I've had similar problems only after installing a new game. Phone calls to CH tech support had me go to the "Settings|Control Panels|Game Controllers" window and remove my FighterStick, reboot, then reinstall/recalibrate. Then I went back to CH SpeedKeys and had to rebuild my WB file. Somehow it became corrupted. None of the views were working...

I just looked at my WB SetUp window and all the sliders are at 100%.

Email if you want anymore suggestions, I'll be home thru Sat nite.

Have you tried using Wbstick to set up your stick? It's a joystick utility that can be found on the 4th fightergroups page (sorry, don't have the exact URL). It'll find the max spike values for your stick as well as deadbands, max and min values etc.. It automatically writes your wstick.cfg file for warbirds! It should help alot!

I have a CH pro and pedals, Absolutly no problems under win 98 since I ran WB stick programe. The ONLY part of WB stick I used was the fix spiking part, left all other settings as is. I have all WB sliders at 100% and nil deadbands. I also use a CH games card this may help me a touch I spose

Ok guys, for spiking; most spiking can be cured by:

De-checking the "Poll with interupts enabled" box. To get to it, go to Control panel > Game Controllers > Advanced.

This will cure 90% of the problems associated with spiking. Then do a very careful and deliberate calibration. Then follow some of the others advice and get WBStick. WBstick will help you get the most out of your stick in relationship to warbirds.

Be sure to read WBstick directions carefully, then save the results to your warbirds > settings > wbstick.cfg.

Good luck!
