'SimFlight Design, a new design group, is about to release a Saab 340B in the form of payware. The Saab will be available for FS2000, and FS2002. It is a highly detailed model rendered from the most accurate blueprints available in the flightsim community. We have preview pictures on our site in the preview aircraft section. There is no specific release date yet, but the team at SimFlight Design would like to have it done before spring. We also have freeware aircraft available on our site. SAG, the 'Switzerland Austria Germany VACC', part of the VATSIM Network, invites all pilots for another special training event to be held from March 25th, 2002 from 1900Z-2300Z on the VATSIM Network between Frankfurt EDDF and Berlin/Tegel EDDT. This event focuses on NDB navigation and is intended to allow pilots and controllers to improve their skills in flying from NDB to NDB enroute and to practice NDB approaches at airports. For this purpose we have prepared a special route between Frankfurt and Berlin/Tegel at FL170. This way we will be out of the way for 'normal' enroute traffic. Any aircraft capable of crusing at FL170 is fine, such as a twin turboprop. The route is 355 nm in length and can be accomplished in about 1:20 hours.
