Ok, there is just no excuse not updating my site for a year... Thing is that I was hosting on Eircom and now I'm back on Eircom so I can access the files again. How interesting you say... Well I'm gonna create a rather simple page which links to my music and videos and lets me do the occasional update too. When I get time that is...

We have recently finished a new cartoon on the langerland site; The British and Irish Lyon's Tea Celebrity Team, see it here. I have also been doing some singing with the Dublin-based electronic duo Audogenic. Check out their website and listen to some music clips. Back in West Cork for a short while and I must say it is very pleasant. Sea, trees, dogs, burgers and chips...

"What have the Brits ever done for us?" will be shown tonight at the fifth annual “Film Fleadh Shorts Night, A Wee CRAIC,” at the renowned Manhattan music venue Arlene’s Grocery on the Lower East Side.
This year’s festival hopes to include the best Irish short films as well as some of Ireland’s best acoustic performers.

Our cartoon What Have the Brits Ever Done For Us? was voted Best New Irish Animation at the Galway Film Fleadh 2005. All at Langerland are delighted and excited, as they say. See a list of the winners here. I'm going off travelling for a few weeks now so it is a nice boost. Our new satirical newspaper will be on the site in the next few days.

Recently completed a new cartoon with the lads which you can see here. It was premiered in Crawdaddy a while back and is part of pilot prgramme for RTE. The sites got over 70,000 hits in a couple of weeks. Mighty! I've also been in discussions with TG4 about showing May Fame. I also had pleurisy for a few months which wasn't quite as exciting.

May Fame is being screened in the Triskel Arts Centre, Cork on Thursday December 2nd at 8.00pm as part of the Art Trail festival. It's being shown alongside a programme of films by Irish director Ken Wardrop. The Weathering is being shown in the Muziekcentrum Frits Philips in Eindhoven tonight and again at the Korzo Theater, The Hague, The Netherlands on Friday 17th of December.

It was a great week at the Cork Film Festival. My documentary May Fame got a really positive response. Our new venture, Langerland.com, has gone stellar receiving over 30,000 hits and made unexpected headlines in the Sunday Times.

Myself and two friends just made a cartoon! Well a short one. Go check it - www.langerland.com

May Fame will be shown at the Kino Cinema in Cork as part of the Cork Film Festival on Monday 11th of September at 9.30p.m. See the programme here. Recently I have completed a commission for Pixel Soup Ltd. which you can hear on the Music page. It's called 20%dirtier. And it is. I've also been recording voiceover material for 5th Province.

Please go to www.mayfame.com to find out about the film. Clips, photos, info, the lot. Thanks to Aidan for designing the site.

My documentary on composer Giordaí ua Laoghaire was shown in the Project Arts Centre last Friday and it went down a storm. Now to get it shown on the telly or something. See some stills from the film on the gallery page.

My site is being featured as Eircom's broadband site of the day! So if you are just popping in and have any opinions drop me a line from the contact page! I am interested in collaborating internationally with other artists using a DSL connection...

I am delighted to announce that the documentary entitled 'Mé Féim' has been shot in Cork City and the post-production process is about to begin. This film traces a week in the life of Giordaí Ua Laoghaire, a composer, Irish speaker and philosopher of sorts! The film will be shown at first in the Project Arts Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin on Friday the 20th of August. There are suggestions that Dublin isn't ready for Ua Laoghaire's return from self-imposed exile. Who knows...?

Also, you can now check the gallery to see still shots from The Weathering which was premiered in New York in May.

Plans are afoot to make a a documentary on the life and work of electroacousic composer/eccentric Irish speaker, Giordaí Ua Laoghaire in June! This will be shown in the Project Arts Centre sometime in August.

The Weathering made it's debut in Muziekcentrum De IJsbreker, Amsterdam, The Netherlands last night and went well by all accounts. It travels to New York's Lincoln Center for it's American premiere on May 5th next.

06/04/2004
The Weathering video is near completion. I am editing it with Mark and Aki and we will be sending it off to Amsterdam on Thursday. ELECTRA will be performing a warm-up show in Holland before taking it to New York's Lincoln Center on the 5th of May. It will be performed alongside The New Math(s), a sound/film project involving director Hal Hartley with music by Louis Andriessen and Michel van der Aa.

19/03/2004:
We shot a substantial part of the Weathering video this Monday in the Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar, Dublin. Thanks to so many people. The Project for having us, Seona for acting, Joe for building the set, Anna for making the costume, Emma for driving, and Maria/Brian for dropping feathers around the place. It's gonna be another month of editing and postproduction. That's if me, Mark and Aki don't kill each other first...

08/01/2004: Well, it's a New Year and I have no news really. I'm a few pounds heavier and a few weeks older. Work is continuing on the preparations for the Weathering video with Donnacha Dennehy and Electra. I am currently loving Autechre...
