2003 News

09/12/2003: I am presenting my video Loch Lein at the Trasnu symposium at An Chúirt Hotel, Gweedore Co. Donegal. The symposium will be hosted by Irish language poet Cathal Ó Searcaigh. The discussion will include contributions from Fintan O' Toole, Colm Tóibín (the writer!), Gabriel Rosenstock, Pól Ó Múirí, Bisi Adigun, Fiach Mac Conghaill and others.

20/11/2003: I will be working with Mark Linnane and Aki Aro on a video to accompany a composition in progress by Donnacha Dennehy. The piece will be played by Dutch ensemble ELECTRA and will hopefully premiere in the Lincoln Centre, New York next May.

11/11/2003: I am working on a video to accompany fAt, a work in progress by Donnacha Dennehy. The video section is now updated and ready to download. i realise that some of the site is a bit buggy on PC as I'm authoring it on a Mac. Bear with me - I'm no web designer!

30/07/2003: I am currently working on a percussion piece using video and live electronics to be showcased in the Beckett Theatre in Trinity College Dublin on Friday September 12th 2003.

28/07/2003: I have just finished my masters project, the abstract, multi-channel short film Loch Léin. The film investigates themes of failure, cultural juxtaposition and recontextualisation as they apply in a sound/film combination. The piece features a vocal performance by Irish sean-nós singer Iarla Ó Lionaird.
