b3ta webring newsletter #6 - 08
Oct 2003
homepage: http://www.b3tawebring.tk/
-------------------------------------------------
Hello again,
Welcome to another issue of the
b3ta webring
newsletter.
You may remember from last issue
I posted a poll
on whether or not to move from
crick rock's
webring service. The results
currently stand
pretty much neck and neck.
Since then I received an e-mail
from Brock Reese,
the guy who runs crick rock
explaining why the
service has been a little shakey
lately as well
as mentioning some upgrades to
the service:
-------------------------------------------------
hey-
how's everything going? my
name is brock reese,
i'm the owner of the crickrock
webring service.
i'm just writing you to apoogize
for the "yo-yo"
service that i've been providing
for your webring
over the months. i was in
east africa doing
missionary work for the past few
years- i think
it's amazing that the service
stayed intact
pretty much the whole time i was
gone. it looks
like your webring is doing great-
and i
appreciate you staying with my
service.
if you've been messing with the
ring the past
few days, you may have noticed a
lot of upgrades
to the service happening.
i'm currently
redesigning the whole crckrock
site to kind of
make a re-launch with the new
features. so if
things seem to be a bit buggy,
that's what's
happening. it shouldn't affect
your webring at
all though, besides making more
options available
to you. you'll probably get
another email from
me soon too- when i send one out
to all the
ringmasters. the new site
will explain how to
use the new features too.
anyway, i wish you the
best of luck with the b3ta
webring. you're doing
great work!

Well, there we go. The fact that
he's around to
take care of the service now and
that there are
some new features on the way
means I'd like to
stay with Crick Rock. The poll
was...
inconclusive :)
By the way, I also noticed there
are a few dead
sites in the ring. I should
hopefully get the
opportunity to clear out the
cobwebs in the next
few days.
**Site if the issue**
It's that time again for another
Site of the
Issue!
He's probably made some of the
best known
tattyswap stuff ever. From Yoda's
tribute to the
Queen Mum to the Queen enjoying
the match to that
Esso tombstone, chicago dave's
made us all go
"Ha ha ha!" and "Ooooh!" and
maybe "Tee hee!" a
bit as well.
There's also that Star Wars
video, the b3ta
screensaver, the arse/elbow quiz,
the topless
Mona Lisa, the...

I would like to close by thanking
you all again
for making the webring project a
success and
remind you that if you have any
comments or
suggestions don't hesitate to
e-mail me.
Until next time...
