Aims

Students will gain a broad understanding of Travel Agency and Airline operations at Advanced Level. In addition, students will gain a broad education in relevant, business subjects including the marketing requirements of the industry. Students will be prepared for the IATA/UFTAA Consultant Certificate

Entry Requirements

  1. Successful completion of the IATA/UFTAA Foundation Course
  2. 2. A personal interview

Course Content

Airfare Calculation and Ticketing (Advanced), Travel Agency Operations, Computer Information Processing, Pricing/Estimating, Work Experience, Travel Geography, Marketing and Desktop Publishing.

Work experience within the Travel & Tourism Industry forms an integral part of the course. Students may arrange to take this work experience in their local travel agency, providing that the location is approved by Coláiste Íde.
