           Han-Kengai

Hankengai

This style is very similar to "cascade" one, but it is not so extreme; it is suitable for mean-deep pots, the tree apex moves towards the external part of bonsai tree.
In small bonsai trees it is sufficient to realize three main "plates": the higher stand must be bigger than the other two, so that it is able to act as a visual counter-balance to the falling parts.
The main branches are coiled and sometimes hairpin bent.
During the starting shaping operations it is important to wire, so use only tender-wooden species, like Junipers and Pines.
