Singles

Here's where Japanese Pokemon music really shines - there are tonnes of singles, and I mean tonnes! I have most, if not all of them listed here. They're all published by Pikachu Records (except for Toi et Moi which is by AVEX), and all japanese CD singles seem to be on the small 8-cm CDs (which will work on any CD player - why they don't use them anywhere else for singles is a mystery). I don't know if the older ones are still being produced, but I have seen Torikaekko Puriizu still for sale at www.japanime.com. I'm using the European date format (day/month/year) in case you get confused. Anyway, here they are, in chronological order:

Single Name:	Mezase Pokemon Masutaa

Description:	This is the first single, including the first theme tune, the first ending tune, the original Pokemon Ieru Ka Na?, and Oyasumi Boku no Pikachuu, which I think was on the episode 'Pikachuu no Mori'(Nº 39). The theme tune was the first Japanese pokemon song I ever heard, and it may not sound as modern as the newer songs, but I still like it. Hyaku Go-juu Ichi (the original ending song) is a classic.

Description:	This is the single to the ending theme to the first movie, "Myuutsuu no Gyakushuu". It's kinda classically-styled, and it suits the film well, even though I've only seen 4Kid's BUTCHERED version of the movie. Actually, I think it is the perfect ending song for that movie.

Description:	This is the ending song to the movie "Maboroshi Lugia Bakutan", and this song of my personal favorites. At first, when you hear the beginning you think it's going to be some crappy 'toss-pop', but then it goes all weird, and in my book "weird = good". Crackle-tong!

Description:	This is the single to the 7th ending song, and it's a damn good song! I haven't heard Nyaasu no Uta 2000, but it has the same lyrics to the original, so it's probably just some sort of remix. In ToItteru Nya, Nyaasu talks to the other pokemon, and translates what they're saying. Very exciting stuff.

Description:	This is the single to the 8th ending song, which is very good in my opinion. Very fast as well. Possibly a bit too fast. There's also the 9th ending song, Takeshi no Paradaisu, on this CD, but I hate it. UUUGH! Gah! No.

Description:	As you can see they're not gonna stop making these any time soon ^^;;. You would think that the quality of these ending songs are gonna get worse as time goes by (like the program itself), but this is still pretty good. Soonansu's voice does get awfully irritating though, so I suggest not listening to it too much. They've made up for not having any other songs by including some stickers (or patches or something).
