Singles
Here's where Japanese Pokemon music really shines - there are tonnes of singles, and I mean tonnes! I have most, if not all of them listed here. They're all published by Pikachu Records (except for Toi et Moi which is by AVEX), and all japanese CD singles seem to be on the small 8-cm CDs (which will work on any CD player - why they don't use them anywhere else for singles is a mystery). I don't know if the older ones are still being produced, but I have seen Torikaekko Puriizu still for sale at www.japanime.com. I'm using the European date format (day/month/year) in case you get confused. Anyway, here they are, in chronological order:
| Single Name: | Mezase Pokemon Masutaa |
| Artist(s): | Matsumoto Rika (Satoshi) |
| Released: | 28/6/1997, ¥950 (code: TGDS-98) |
| Description: | This is the first single, including the first theme tune, the first ending tune, the original Pokemon Ieru Ka Na?, and Oyasumi Boku no Pikachuu, which I think was on the episode 'Pikachuu no Mori'(Nº 39). The theme tune was the first Japanese pokemon song I ever heard, and it may not sound as modern as the newer songs, but I still like it. Hyaku Go-juu Ichi (the original ending song) is a classic. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Mezase Pokemon Masutaa 02 - Hyaku Go-juu Ichi [One Hundred and Fifty-One] 03 - Pokemon Ieru Ka Na? [Can You Say Pokemon?] 04 - Oyasumi Boku no Pikachuu [Goodnight My Pikachu] 05 - Mezase Pokemon Masutaa (Karaoke) |

| Tracks: | 01
- Roketto-dan yo Eien ni [Rocket Group for Eternity] 02 - Rakkii Rakkii [Lucky Lucky] 03 - Nyaasu no Uta [Nyaasu's song] 04 - Roketto-dan yo Eien ni (Karaoke) 05 - Nyaasu no Uta (Karaoke) |

| Single Name: | Torikaekko
Puriizu [Let's Trade Please] |
| Artist(s): | Suzukisan (Imakuni, Garuura Kobayashi & Raymond Johnson) |
| Released: | 10/2/1998, ¥1,000 (code: CXDA-101) |
| Description: | This was Suzukisan's first single, with three very strange songs, Pokemon Ondo probably being the strangest. It's pretty good, though. This includes the 2nd and 3rd ending songs: Poketto ni Fantazii, and Pokemon Ondo. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Torikaekko Puriizu [Let's Trade Please] 02 - Poketto ni Fantazii [Pocket Fantasy] 03 - Pokemon Ondo [Pokemon March] 04 - Torikaekko Puriizu (Karaoke) 05 - Poketto ni Fantazii (Karaoke) |

| Released: | 18/6/1998, ¥1,000 (code: TGDS-130) |
| Description: | This is the single to the song on the credits of the first short "Pikachuu no Natsu Yasumi". I have yet to hear Pikapika Massaichuu, but Natsu Yasumi Fan Kurabu is funkay. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Natsu Yasumi Fan Kurabu [Summer Holiday Fan Club] 02 - Pikapika Massaichuu 03 - Puulu [Pool] 04 - Atarashii Tomodachi [New Freind] 05 - Pikapika Massaichuu (Karaoke) |

| Single Name: | Kaze
to Issho ni [Together with the Wind] |
| Artist(s): | Kobayashi Sachiko |
| Released: | 3/9/1998, ¥1,000 (code: CXDA-102) |
| Description: | This is the single to the ending theme to the first movie, "Myuutsuu no Gyakushuu". It's kinda classically-styled, and it suits the film well, even though I've only seen 4Kid's BUTCHERED version of the movie. Actually, I think it is the *perfect* ending song for that movie. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Kaze to Issho ni [Together with the Wind] 02 - Suteki na Korekushon 03 - Kaze to Issho ni (Karaoke) 04 - Suteki na Korekushon (Karaoke) |

| Single Name: | toi
et moi [You and Me] |
| Artist(s): | Namie Amuro |
| Released: | 7/7/1999, ¥971 (code: AVDD-20335) |
| Description: | This is the ending song to the movie "Maboroshi Lugia Bakutan", and this song of my personal favorites. At first, when you hear the beginning you think it's going to be some crappy 'toss-pop', but then it goes all weird, and in my book "weird = good". Crackle-tong! |
| Tracks: | 01
- toi et moi [You and Me] 02 - toi et moi (NY Remix) 03 - toi et moi (TV Remix) |

| Single Name: | Lapurasu
ni Notte [Riding on Lapras] |
| Artist(s): | Iizuka Mayumi (Kasumi), Aikawa Rikako (Lapras) |
| Released: | 21/8/1999, ¥800 (code: ZMDP-1026(TGDS-174)) |
| Description: | This is the single to the 6th ending song to the series. I haven't heard this one yet, either. I've got a feeling it's about Lapras. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Lapurasu ni Notte [Riding on Lapras] 02 - Minna de Arukou! 03 - Lapurasu ni Notte (Karaoke) |

| Artist(s): | Inuyama Inuko |
| Released: | 27/10/1999, ¥1,000 (code: ZMDP-1027(TGDS-178)) |
| Description: | This
is the single to the 7th ending song, and it's a damn
good song! I haven't heard Nyaasu no Uta 2000, but it has
the same lyrics to the original, so it's probably just
some sort of remix. In To |
| Tracks: | 01
- Nyaasu no Paati [Nyaasu's Party] 02 - Nyaasu no Uta 2000 [Nyaasu's Song 2000] 03 - To 04 - Nyaasu no Paati (Karaoke) 05 - Bonus |

| Single Name: | OK! |
| Artist(s): | Matsumoto Rika |
| Released: | 2/2/2000, ¥1,000 (code: ZMDP-1062(TGZS-7)) |
| Description: | This is the single to the third opening song, which a big change from the previous ones. They've followed the trends of Japanese music, and have gone with a rock style this time. It also has the english version of Type: Wild. I wonder how many times it says "OK!" on that cover? |
| Tracks: | 01
- OK! 02 - Type: Wild (English Version) 03 - OK! (Karaoke) |

| Single Name: | Pokemon
Harahara Rilee [Pokemon Worriesome Relay] |
| Artist(s): | N/A |
| Released: | 7/6/2000 |
| Description: | This is the single to the 8th ending song, which is very good in my opinion. Very fast as well. Possibly a bit too fast. There's also the 9th ending song, Takeshi no Paradaisu, on this CD, but I hate it. UUUGH! Gah! No. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Harahara Rilee [Worriesome Relay] 02 - Takeshi no Paradaisu [Takeshi's Paradise] 03 - Harahara² Rilee 04 - Harahara Rilee (Karaoke - that'll be hard!) 05 - Takeshi no Paradaisu (Karaoke) |

| Single Name: | Pokemon Ieru Ka Neo? |
| Artist(s): | Imakuni |
| Released: | 28/6/2000 |
| Description: | This is the single to the 'new' version of Ieru Ka Na? It's about twice as weird as the original, but isn't all that different. Judging by the cover, Imakuni must have smoked something weird. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Pokemon Ieru Ka Neo? 02 - Ne-o-e-oh! 03 - Pokemon Ieru Ka Neo (Karaoke) 04 - Ne-o-e-oh! (Karaoke) |

no Besuto Furendo he [To My Best Friend] |
| Artist(s): | N/A |
| Released: | 7/2/2001 |
| Description: | This is the single to the TENTH, yes, TENTH ending song to the series. You'd think they would have ran out of ideas by now, wouldn't you? I still have yet to hear it. |
| Tracks: | 01
- Boku no Besuto Furendo he 02 - Boku no Besuto Furendo he (Karaoke) 03 - Boku no Besuto Furendo he (Piano) 04 - Boku no Besuto Furendo he (Music Box) |

| Single Name: | Maemuki
Roketto-dan [Rocket Group Facing Forward(?)] |
| Artist(s): | Miki Shinichirou (Kojirou), Hayashibara Megumi (Musashi) & Inuyama Inuko (Nyaasu) |
| Released: | 20/7/2001 |
| Description: | As you can see they're not gonna stop making these any time soon ^^;;. You would think that the quality of these ending songs are gonna get worse as time goes by (like the program itself), but this is still pretty good. Soonansu's voice does get awfully irritating though, so I suggest not listening to it too much. They've made up for not having any other songs by including some stickers (or patches or something). |
| Tracks: | 01 -
Maemuki Roketto-dan 02 - Maemuki Roketto-dan (Karaoke) 03 - Maemuki Roketto-dan (Remix) |
