Among
all the things that Jesus said during His time here on the earth, the most startling thing can be found in John 3:3 " ... Jesus declared, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

Jesus said it again in John 3:7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

Many people try to explain away the meaning of these words that Jesus commanded to all humanity. It means that something supernatural has to happen to a person to take him from the way he is to the way that God wants him to be.

You must choose to be born again. If you shall confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and Believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousnes; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10
God made it simple

In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'

It is not an American thing or an Irish thing or an African thing, it's a Jesus thing. He was the one that said it. You must choose.

Peter teaches about this in 1 Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."

To be born again is important enough that Jesus explained it to Nicodemus in John 3:1

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council.
He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him."
