' THE  '   Van.              

                                                                                                         This is me playing with 'Ragús' live.

'Ragús' is a 'Show' which is based on the Aran Islands located off the coast of Galway on the west coast of Ireland. "It is a show of Irish Music, Song and Dance". Though the Line-up of performers often changes ,It has dancers formerly of 'Riverdance' and 'Lord of the Dance' fame. The instruments usually are Accordion Box, Uilleann Pipes, Fiddle, Bodrán, Guitar, and Piano/Keyboard ,or variations thereof. It runs on the Main Island of Inis Mór for the 3 Irish summer months ( June - August ).

The show then travels the world for periods during the rest of the year. This year there will be two troops for the summer as one will perform 5 nights a week in Dublin's famous 'Vicar St.' theatre. That should be easy going from a performer's point of view as the 'Aran' show goes on 3 times a DAY, 7 days a WEEK. ***Its tough being me***.

Starting with me on the left, then there is Brian Garvin from Dublin, Jim O'Leary from Cork and Jonathan Roche (no relation) from Kerry.We all played in Ragús together during the summer of 2000.
