instigated a charity walk which raised
121,895
(IR£96,000)
for Cork Charities
The Rotary Club of Douglas became
partners with us in the event.
The event was held on
Saturday 22nd and
Sunday 23rd May 1999
It is estimated that
up to 100,000 people walked under
the River Lee
during the weekend

was presented to the
Charity Fund of the Lord Mayor of Cork

(IR£19,000)
each was presented to
Community Service Charities of
Douglas & Glanmire Rotary Clubs,
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind &
The Cork Multiple Sclerosis Society.
