Heneghan's started their shop in 1952, in the front room of their house. In 1979 they joined the Spar symbol group and moved the shop to a new 600sq.ft building where the shop was run very successfully until 1995 when their daughter Martina and her husband Tony took over the premises and moved it to a new site, across the road from the original and into a new 5,000sqr.ft building where it is now situated.
Today's shop holds a number of new features from the old including a hot and cold Deli, an instore bakery, an instore butcher and an off licence.
