I received the following by email from Nancy Maloney, Chairperson of the
Yvonne Fahy Benefit Fund
today (Monday 11th September 2000):
We are a committee formed to fundraise for a very special local girl named Yvonne Fahy.Yvonne from Cashel Cross, Glenamaddy, Co Galway, Ireland is 25 years of age and was involved in a very serious car accident on January 6th, 2000. Since that time she has been at the Dun Laoghaire Rehabilitation Centre in Dublin with severe spinal damage.
Owing to the high costs involved in bringing Yvonne home we are hoping to raise sufficient funds to help her family with the round-the-clock nursing and care that Yvonne will need.
We have organised a benefit dance in Glenamaddy for October 4th, 2000 and would very much appreciate if you/your company could help Yvonne by way of a donation. A benefit fund has been opened at the Bank of Ireland, Glenamaddy, Co. Galway, Ireland Account No. 94225701.
Your support is very important to us and will be greatly appreciated by each and every member of our community.
Thanking you in advance for your kind help.
