St.Benin's Vocational school was built in 1963 on the Kilkerrin road, beside the National School. Its first principal was Mr.Martin Maloney, who was succeeded in 1973 by Mr.Seamus Donohue from Athenry. Up until 1983 it had 6 main rooms and 3 prefabs. In 1983 an additional 4 rooms were built. At the moment the Vocational school includes very modern Science, Information Technology, Home Economics, Technical Graphics, and Woodwork rooms, and four general purpose rooms. |

The school is also involved in sport and have a football pitch, a basketball and Volleyball court. |
