| WHAT ARE DUST MITES |
|
Dust mites are very small creatures similar to spiders and are found in nearly every home, they can not bee seen with the human eye. It does not mean that the home is dirty, they are present everywhere, in particular where temperatures and humidity are high. Dust mites feed on the skin cells of humans and animals. Humans shed about 50,000 cells per day providing ample food for the dust mite to thrive. Unfortunately dust mites contain allergens in their bodies and in their droppings or faeces. These droppings are microscopic and float about rooms where they can be inhaled, causing a trigger to certain asthma sufferers. There are many products available that can reduce the population of dust mites, however the allergens remain as long as the faeces are present in the atmosphere. Some filters will remove dust mites, but the faeces are far smaller than most filters can trap. Next: RELIEF IS AVAILABLE FOR DUST MITE ASTHMA SUFFERERS |
