- It is likely that this is occuring because you are on the wrong channel on your television.. Look for a button on your TV remote that says AV, or Source. Press such a button until you arrive at a channel that gives you a full colour picture (do note that the PS3 menu can be quite dark naturally, so please test with a game or DVD before attempting to fix).
