Good Deal on the Web

This webpage is dedicated to the career of Good Deal, a horse owned by the Nags Head Syndicate. It also provides a guide to racing and betting in Ireland and there will be a tips section for those lucky enough to share our wealth of knowledge in the near future. Good Deal is a horse like no other. It has raced a record 10 races in a row in Dundalk, notched up numerous sparkling performances and has been tipped as one to watch by Templegate for next season. It is trained extensively by the Coxes of Dundalk, Bunny and Sally Cox. Its a 4 year old with a great pedigree, its family history will appear on these pages soon.......... It has ridden Flat and Hurdle races and it is being prepared for an assault on Cheltenham next season. It is highly fancied to do well at the big Downroyal race-meeting this weekend after a highly creditable forth in Dundalk earlier this week.

UPDATE......................

The result from Downroyal was not as good as expected, it can be seen from the link below as can the overall record. However all is not lost, the Deal is running this Wednesday, the 17th of Nov. in Downpatrick where it is hoped for better luck.

FURTHER UPDATE..............

A head cold prevents Good Deal from racing this week in Downpatrick, its expected to be out of action for 2 weeks, disaster !!!!!!!!!

Dec. 2nd UPDATE................

Good Deal is entered to run this Sunday the 5th Dec. in Punchestown in the first race at 12.30. Its not for definite yet but if it runs a big crowd is expected.

March 8th UPDATE................ OH MY GOD THEY KILLED GOOD DEAL, you B£"%£%

Actually Good Deal has had an operation on a sore throat and is expected back in action and better than ever in the next couple of weeks.

June 26th UPDATE................ The Triumphant return of Good Deal

A 4th place finish in its return to racing after a 6 month layoff means good times ahead for owners, trainer and punters alike, get those bank loans ready for the next day out which will be advertised soon on these pages. Good Deal impressed all with a strong and powerful finish to the 2 mile race in Kilbeggan.

August 1 UPDATE...............More Success for Good Deal !!!

2 more 4th places in a row at Bellewstown and Dundalk have meant that the Deal is entered for Galway this Thursday, will this be the breakthrough to the big time ???
