Sepang is an all new circuit completed early in 1999. It bears a similarity to the Austrian A1 - Ring and features a pair of long straights joined by a hairpin. Also featured are a variety of corners ranging from tight to flowing which should lead to some exciting racing by the time the GP gets started in October.

The circuit has been designed from scratch to meet the latest safety criteria and features large run-off areas should any of the drivers fancy a cross country run.

Cars require a medium downforce setting, with a trade off between drag and top-speed for the very long pit straight.
