Pedro de la Rosa joined a very elite club at Melbourne in 1999. He became one of the few drivers to score a point on his GP debut.
Pedro cut his competitive teeth in Japan in both F3000 and GT, but came to F1 as something of an unknown quantity. There is no doubt that Pedro has potential though he is not a championship winner by any stretch of the imagination.
For 2000, Pedro stays with Arrows, although the Supertec V10 should hopefully give F1 fans a better idea of his true talents.
