To that dear home beyond the sea,
My Kathleen shall again return.
And when thy old friends welcome thee,
Thy loving heart will cease to yearn.
Where laughs the little silver stream,
Beside your mother's humble cot,
And brightest rays of sunshine gleam.
There all your grief will be forgot.

DO YOU REMEMBER Tommy Egan with a heart of Love to give
When People they were struggling to find a way to live.
His Joking words of laughter would ease their thoughts of shame
And giving them a loaf or two he would ask them Pay again.
DO YOU REMEMBER Tommy Egan the man that threw a punch
And landed fools in corners sitting on their Rumps.
He never asked for Pity When he got his wooden leg
Nor did he blame a Reason, He Just walked on instead.
DO YOU REMEMBER Tommy Egan when he got his new glass eye
And drank to celebrate it with all those in style.
It was when the kuku spluttered and spat upon the floor
That Tommy's eye was noticed and given back once more.
Ah Tommy we will miss you for the nature of your heart
But we know that heaven needs you for your special Kind of Art.
In some dull day when things are not so bright
Remember Tommy Egan and get up prepared to fight.
