
Hazel has been a member of the Greystones Orchestra since it's
foundation in 1989. In 1993 she made her first solo appearance
with the orchestra in Vivaldi's "Spring" from The Four
Seasons, and again in 2000 when she played Beethoven's Romance
in F.
Hazel comes from a musical background. Her father was a professional
singer. She began violin studies aged 8 in London. When 11, she
won a Junior Exhibitioner seven year scholorship to the Royal
Academy of Music in London, taking piano as a second instrument.
She has gained experience in orchestral playing in England and
Ireland.
Hazel worked as a speech therapist for ten years and now, married
with three children, she combines family life with teaching violin. She is also a member of the Senza
Sordini Quartet playing for weddings and functions.
