Greetings to you all. Kieran Cunnane is my name, and I am running for the Green Party in the North & East Ward of Galway City in the local elections. Over the coming months I'll be posting lots of campaign information, opinions and discussions on the issues.

I hope that you find this election web site quite a bit different from the norm. It's very much information based; my intention is to give the reader a real feel for what I'm about and an insight into my issues. You can access all of my press releases and there's also an opinion section. I don't mind if you disagree with me, after all, politics is mainly about opinion. However, don't expect tiptoeing around the issues. Thee are many things which need saying at both a local and National Level. I also say "talk is cheap, it's action that counts" an adage I apply to myself and to all public representatives. I believe in setting the bar high, sometimes even higher than we can achieve in the space of time allowed; by aiming high we can achieve a lot more.

You will also notice I have a passion for the word "vision". I believe you should have a very good knowledge of global and national issues and transform the knowledge gained into actions in local politics. We need the "big picture" in order to be able to see the "small picture" accurately - so to speak. I will also be glad of any feedback, good or bad about what I have to say.
