Our
Parish may not have the best land or much industry but we have one of the
most scenic and historical parishes in Ireland.
Our Lakes, rivers and hills give us very spectacular scenery. The
waters are still pollution free and have plenty of fish.
Bird-life is plentiful if often quite noisy....

The Arigna
Mining Museum was officially opened in April 2003. Since then, over 13,000
visitor's have experienced what life was like underground for the many
thousand's of Miners who worked tirelessly bringing coal from the mountains
and heat to our homes nationwide over the centuries.
Here is a celebration of their legacy.
