Myself and my daughter Anne spent 5 weeks in Australia in March 2010 visiting my youngest son Vincent who has been living and working in Queensland and New South Wales since March 2009.
While in Queensland we visited fellow Limousin breeders David and Leonie Washband. Their herd Tarampa Downs was established in 1985 with the purchase of 2 purebred cows with heifer calves at foot and in calf. From there they went on to purchase a French pure bred bull Sundowner SRFW036 who they affectionately called Charlie. This bull was by ELTORO out of Cheston Hannah.Tarampa Downs has a home farm of 70 acres and use a further 100 acres in the area. It is located in the Lockyer Valley in the middle of a rich small cropping community, approximately halfway between the cities of Ipswich and Toowoomba in sunny Queensland Australia.Tampara Downs Advantage was the first French Limousin to receive 8 stars for tenderness.
