Golf is
very popular and well accommodated in the area. Within five miles are the two
Championship courses of Portmarnock and Royal Dublin, both Links courses. In
addition to these we have the Howth, Malahide and the new Portmarnock Links
Golf courses.

Portmarnock Golf Club
|
|
One of the premium
Links courses in the world, it has been the venue for the Irish Open
Championship, Walker Cup and many more Championship events. There are 27
holes resting on a fine sandy soil.
Directions
5 minutes. Turn Left out of the Heatherview and proceed through Malahide village,
travel down the beautiful coastal drive for 3km to Portmarnock. Turn left at
the Jus DeVine Off License / The Golf Links Pub. The Club is at the end of
this road.

Royal Dublin Golf Club
|
|
This is one of the
finest Links courses in Ireland. The layout is
traditional but the wind factor can make this course very hazardous. It has
been the venue for many championships both National and International.
Directions
20 minutes. Turn Left out of the Heatherview and proceed through Malahide
village, travel down the Coast
Road through Portmarnock (left at the only
roundabout) and Baldoyle until reaching a T junction after 5km. Turn right
and travel toward the City Centre for approximately 5km. Having past the
‘Dollymount House’ pub on your right, look for the left turn onto a wooden
bridge. The Golf Club is now on your left.

Malahide Golf Club
|
|
A Championship
standard which opened to 27 holes in 1990. This new parkland course has water
a feature of a number of the holes.
Directions
5 minutes. Turn Left out of the Heatherview and proceed to Malahide village.
At the set of traffic lights in the centre of the village turn right and
follow this road until you pass a school on your right hand side. Take the
next left and follow this road until you arrive at the entrance to the club
on the right hand side.

Beaverstown Golf Club
|
|
This Golf Club is
noted for its setting in an attractive Orchard. It is bordered by water
which demands careful planning and accuracy from the player.
Directions
20 minutes. Turn Left out of the Heatherview and proceed to the R106 on your
left, turn left heading for Swords. At the second roundabout, take a right
heading for Belfast.
Pass through two roundabouts and after 1km on the N1 take a right turn for
Donabate. Follow directions for Donabate In Donabate, turn left in the town.
Follow this road until you arrive at the Club Entrance on the left hand side.

Swords Open Golf Club
|
|
A new addition to North Dublin, this course offers the player a forgiving
course but a delight to play. If you require clubs they are available to hire
from the club house.
Directions

minutes. Turn Left out of the Heatherview and proceed to R106 on your left,
turn left heading for Swords. At the second roundabout, take a right turn for
Belfast. Pass
through another roundabout and at the next roundabout, turn left for
Ashbourne. Come to a Stop sign and take a right. Pass the Motorola Company
and take the next left junction. Follow this road for 2.5km to the Club
House.

St.
Anne's Golf Club

An
impressive 18-holes links golf course situated on Dublin's
most famous ecological attraction - Bull Island Nature Reserve in Dublin Bay. In 2003 St Anne's completed a
major development of the course and clubhouse, which affords spectacular
panoramic views of the bay and Wicklow mountains beyond.

minutes. Turn Left out of the Heatherview and proceed through Malahide
village, travel down the Coast

Island. You will see
