Approach to deforested area.

 

Dull and wet.

A few logs were left after a mid-year clearance 6 months ago. The ends are just beginning to get interesting. This is Trametes versicolour - Turkey Tails. It's clear that an algal bloom is already adding green to the list of colours.

    

And this little (5mm) fungus has appeared, sharing space with the orange Dacrymyces stillatus on the right.

    

 

This is the remains of a Puffball, with the exit vent clearly shown.

And this should really be a quiz picture. It's the seedpod of Slender St. John's Wort - Hypericum pulchrum.
