Deciduous fringe of Coniferous plantation.

 

Frequent heavy showers.

This is a very striking mushroom, known in France as 'Jaune d'oeuf' - egg-yolk, and the colour is certainly reminiscent of that. Until recently it was known as Bolbitius vitellinus, but now it's Bolbitius titubans. Identifications are complex enough without having to keep track of progress.

I just spotted the tiny fly to the left of the 15mm. cap.

    

Lactarius deterrimus is a Spruce associate. I think the mature gills look very much like salmon flesh.

    

My first puff-ball of the year: Lycoperdon umbrinum.

    

Parts of the plantation floor are covered in these Clavulina cristata clusters.
