Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

 

Blue sky and sun all day.

This part of the hedge was severely cut back in June. Some of the plants have now recovered sufficiently to flower for the first time this year.

Bramble.

 

Bush Vetch, with the first local specimen of the hoverfly Sphegina clunipes.

 

Common Ragwort.

 

Creeping Thistle, with a fly (easy to spot) and the micromoth Nettle Tap (harder to spot).

 

Greater Willowherb.

 

Groundsel.

 

Hedge Bindweed.

 

Herb Bennet (well almost).

 

Herb Robert.

Meadow Buttercup.

 

Nipplewort.

 

Tormentil.
