Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Dull and very wet.

It seems that everything is running to seed very quickly. This is the seedpod of Bush Vetch.

The Downy Rose I showed in bud last week has opened.

The nymph (note the vestigial wings) of a Capsid Bug.

The flowers of Ground Elder.

A micromoth associated with Roses - Hedya nubiferana.

Lady's Mantle seems to appear from nowhere, although the leaves are very showy when open.

An unidentified Lesser Crane Fly.

A strange muscid. I find this colour and shape at about 5 to 6 mm long. This was about 15mm.

The hoverfly Rhingia campestris (left) and the Soldier Beetle Cantharis ?rustica (right).

Cocksfoot Grass (left) and Tufted Vetch (right).

Two moths that came to light late at night: Buff Ermine (left) and the micromoth Dipleurina lacustrata (right).
