More from Ervey/Ness, NI.

Cloudy with showers.

A very contorted Cladonia lichen covered most of an old log.

Calocera cornea on a small dead branch.

A Puccinia rust on Red Campion leaves. We have a choice of two: Puccinia arenariae or Puccinia behenis.

I find the Honeysuckle-mining fly Chromatomyia aprilina whenever I'm looking for fungi. Maybe it likes the dark.

I really liked this shot of a liverwort sporing capsule 'floating' above the moss on a bank. Capsule about 2mm across.

An Oak Marble gall.

Phytomyza illicis is to be found on virtually every Holly tree I look at.

A new species of grass (and one that's particularly difficult to photograph). Wood Melick - Melica uniflora. Specimens to about 30 cm. tall.
