Fringe of coniferous plantation.

Showers all day, with no light.

Only one set of images, but an interesting one. This little (15mm) Bumblebee was frantically crawling over heads of Devilsbit Scabious. The pattern of coloured bands is different from anything I've seen locally, but it is a worker of Bombus pratorum, which I haven't found near here (border between heath and coniferous plantation).

Close examination of the rear legs in the (poor) images reveals that the bee has gathered no pollen.
