Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

 

Dull with heavy showers.

 

I'm not quite sure that this image really shows what I'm trying to show, but the left-hand side of the bush has now been completely defoliated by the Nematus pavidus sawfly larvae. All that's left is the skeletal vein structure of the leaves.

These are the mature larvae at 20 mm long.
