Housing
THE NEED FOR HOUSING.
Housing units differ in many respects. Some are owned by their occupants; some are rented. Some units are separate buildings; some are apartments. The number and sizes of rooms in housing units vary greatly, as does the quality of cooking, plumbing, and heating facilities.
There is a waiting list of several years for families which are already on the Local Authority Housing waiting list.
Applicants for Local Authority Housing must be resident in Ireland before they can apply for consideration for being added to the housing list.
When an applicant is ready, all applications should be made to the Local Authority. If successful the rent will be based on the tenants ability to pay.
