While in his early twenties, Herbie Brennan underwent a spontaneous experience that was to change the course of his life. He found himself out of his body and wandering through his home like a ghost.

What happened so intrigued him that he began to investigate the phenomenon and discovered a mass of evidence to suggest many others had had similar experiences.

His research led directly to the writing of his first published book, Astral Doorways, which became an esoteric best-seller and remains in print to this day.

The book was the first of many to investigate esoteric subjects, reflecting a lifelong fascination with spiritual, psychical, and anomalous phenomena.
