 In
addition to our well-known range of paddle feeders
we are now offering vertical auger machines specially
designed for Irish and UK conditions. Most vertical
auger machines available on the Irish and British
markets are either Italian made or copies, while these
machines work well when maize, hay or straw are the
principal forage's used, their performance under Irish
and UK conditions is poor to say the least.
Hi-Spec
have spent the last three years developing and testing
a range of vertical auger machine suitable for Irish
and UK conditions and are now in a position to offer
a machine to Irish and UK farmers that will out-perform
all others.
Our vertical feeders have the following advantages:
- Faster
and better mixing because of our large pitch auger.
- Faster
Cutting of bales because of our extra long knives.
- Lower
H.P. requirements because of running the auger at
a lower R.P.M.
- Complete
clearing of the auger when emptying because of the
small diameter.
- Much
improved emptying because of our patented shelf
at the door.
- Automatic
operation of the counter knives as standard.
- Two
discharge doors with hydraulic adjustable chute
as standard.
- Our
unique patented elevator that moves from the working
position at the side of the machine to the transport
position at the front of the machine. This prevents
elevator damage when in transit and also reduces
the overall width of the machine.
- Two
double acting hydraulic valves on the tractor carry
out all hydraulic operations - no external valves
required.
- A
special heavy-duty planetary gearbox to which the
auger is directly mounted.
- An
easy accessible gearbox oil reservoir fitted as
standard.
- Knives
mounted on 15-mm brackets for added strength - not
directly to the auger.
- High
quality self-sharpening knives fitted on 22-mm holders.
- Curved
in top section of body to prevent feed spillage
while mixing and gives added strength to body.
- 22-mm
material used in the floor and 8mm material in the
body.
 The

Twin Auger: 18M³, 22M³, 26M³, 30M³
Please
note...
The vertical auger machine has from 30% to 50%
greater capacity than a similar size paddle machine.
